Well, it’s bound to happen eventually — someone builds a better mouse trap. Are you a truck driver or freight transporter? Navevo has build business logic into their latest GPS Navigation software package; input your load, height, length of your vehicle and voila, out spits a route perfectly designed for your particular driving needs! With such cool features as “High Wind” and “Steep Hills” warnings, as well as alternate routing — this might be something of interest for RVers too…
The software works on PND’s, PDA’s and Windows Smartphones.

The fine company PocketMac has introduced a new product — GoBetween for Meeting Maker (also available for Entourage) to complement their PocketMac PDA/PDA Phone sync software.
I have a MacBook Pro, a Verizon (Samsung) SCH-i760, and the company I work for is using People Cube’s Meeting Maker for calendaring and scheduling. Since I’ve been here I’ve tried various methods to import my calendar into my phone — what a pain! From a custom web app, to manually importing data — both buggy, error prone, and slooooooooow.
With the introduction of GoBetween, I finally have a product that will sync my calendar and to-do list across all my systems.

Yeah, yeah, I know… winter is almost over (NOT!) I just picked up four pair of these from Palmflex through Amazon.com (no, not all four for me; one for each member of my family.) I use them almost ever day on my commute to work, since I’m now standing in line at the BART station, in the wind tunnel called a “platform.”
Do you snowboard? Ski? Play in the snow? Stand out in the cold looking miserable? Shivering and freezing your tushie off, all while your ears suffer frostbite? Don’t want to mess up your hair? 180s wrap around the back of your head, and these even come with a detachable cord and volume adjustment doo-hickey on said cord.

Who’d thunk it? Finally Rabbit ears and wireless… it all makes sense. Meet the Nabaztagtag
the RFID Sniffing, mood shifting, t’ai chi practicing bunnies!
Touted as the “world’s first wireless rabbit” Nabaztagtag (the bunny formerly known as Nabaztag) connects through your WiFi to talk to other Nabaztagtags. How’d you like to have a cute little bunny read you current news headlines, it can even tell you what the weather is going to be like.
Adjust the ears, and it’s mate (somewhere else on the internet) will shift its ears to match — you can make up your own secret code! Or, if you prefer, send audio messages to another Nabaztagtag somewhere else on the ‘net.

Finally, an electronic book reader that uses EVDO, doesn’t cost you a dime for wireless access, gives you access to WikiPedia, and can last up to a week without a recharge!

Feeling faddishly out of style while sporting a low-flow hair style? Remember that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry and the gang all had the shower heads in their apartment building replaced with “Low Flow” models in order to conserve water? They ended up with very, very flat hair — probably due to the inability to fully wash the shampoo, conditioner and oil out of their hair effectively.
Federal rules prevent over 2.5gpm (that’s gallons per minute) of flow; often leaving the consumer feeling unclean and dissatisfied with the trickle of water flowing from their shower.

Ok folks, this one is just weird enough to add a new category for… welcome to the “Health” category.
How about a toothbrush that plays music… through your teeth?
Tooth Tunes — Music in your mouth.
 Enjoy.

Occasionally, we come across toys or gizmos that actually inspire or encourage an experience fostering creative thought… certain types of toys effectively stimulate the resourcefulness of a group — brain teasers and puzzles stretch the imagination. For manual dexterity try Legos
(building blocks)Â or even building a house from a deck of cards.
So, for your next troubleshooting session, brainstorming, or planning session, try something novel. Need something cheaper? Have a paper airplane making contest, move the furniture around, toss a hackey-sack around the table. Want to troubleshoot a really sticky situation? Bring one or more persons to the meeting that aren’t in your group (an admin assistant and an accountant for instance…) and explain the problem to them… and answer questions.

Sorry that it’s been so long since I’ve written! It’s been very busy here at GW HQ… and things are going to be even more hectic next week! I’m off to Networkers in Anaheim, if you’re going, drop me a line maybe I’ll see you there!
Now on to the goodies!
Make has an article that I thought you’d all find intriguing, check out the Mugi Twinwall polypropylene plane kits.
Pre-cut kits, lighting to allow for night flying, and believe it or not, but you have a choice of glider or powered flight!
